There are now 26 recognized Hospice Organizations in Malaysia. Except for Hospis Malaysia, all are members of the MALAYSIAN HOSPICE COUNCIL.  Almost all are non-profit non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

 

The Malaysian Hospice council was set up in 1998 to be the umbrella body and national voice for hospice and palliative care organizations in Malaysia, and generally to foster and promote the practice of Palliative Care. Its membership has now grown to twenty-five.

All members function independently. Each hospice is responsible for its own funding and its delivery of palliative care services.
